March 2015 Dividends , Options , Adsense and Interest Monthly Report

Another steady month. I am getting my accounts ready for my new home purchase and financing the build. Was tough for me to get a mortgage on my current home but I managed to get it done. Money will be shifting around and I might be forced to sell my stocks to cover the build for a few months but I am working on options that hopefully will not come to that.

I am happy with the steady options premiums  I have been raking in and I hope to keep it going playing APPLE by selling puts. Interest paid has gone down by just paying down my margin. Adsense is down due to my lack of posts and activity which I attribute to my nephew staying with us and my new house project which have been swallowing up my time.

  2. I find it amazing that your net worth is closing on $3M, yet getting a mortgage is "tough" for you. Banks should be rolling out a red carpet for you!

    1. Banks dont like me because of my tax efficient system of paying myself in income. All they care about is a cashflow salary! Its kinda crazy really. They rather loan to someone making a high salary thats in debt than me.

  8. Great job A-G! Solid dividend and options numbers. Once I build up my cash stockpile a bit I'll probably start taking a buy-write call strategy or get back to selling puts on excellent companies. Both are fairly conservative and can lead to solid returns. Keep up the good work buddy!

  9. Keep posting these amazing stats and keep us inspired to reach our own greater milestones. The options premiums is really killer. Was that mostly from writing puts or covered calls as well? Thanks for sharing.

    1. All options premiums were from selling apple puts. If put is about to be executed I will buy back the put and sell next weeks at the same time for a lower price but still at a profit. So far it is working out. If stock drops to a good buying level then I will just allow my puts to get executed. Then I would write covered calls at that point.

  10. A-G,
I really like the long list of monthly payers that you have. Interesting enough there is a RIO CAN office building next to my job. I definitely need to get on board with some monthly payers so I can balance out the dividends coming in. Keep it up!

    1. Big fan of RioCan, I see their buildings everywhere. They also have a great history and a steady but slowly increasing dividend. I am a big fan of reits especially for cash flow. It like being a landlord without the work and getting abetter return than most rental properties.

  12. Awesome month! That's a lot of passive income coming in without having to lift a finger. All the best with the home purchase, financing can often times be tricky. I'm definitely not a fan of underwriting lol

  13. Asset-Grinder,

Congrats on the impressive month. That is some serious option premiums you received for the month. That is more in a month than I clear at my job.

  15. $2K/month, way to go! One question though, do you withhold some money for taxes at the end of the year, or these are in the tax advantage account?

    1. I dont withhold money per say for taxes but I have an idea how much I will be in for at the end of the year. I have close to 200k equities in tax advantage accounts.
